LumaLabs Introduces GENIE: 3D foundation model

LumaLabs has unveiled its latest generative model, which is designed to create 3D models. Currently, the models are being generated on Discord, and while the system is in its testing phase, model generation is offered free of charge. To generate a model, users can go to their Discord server, navigate to one of the "genie" channels, and type "/genie" followed by their prompt. The response is swift, providing four proposed solutions with a turntable display for each.

Beneath the generated models, there are two buttons for each option. The first button directs users to their website where they can view the generated (unrefined) models in 3D. The second button is for refining the models. If you choose to refine one or more models, be prepared to wait up to approximately 20 minutes per model.
You can check the unrefined models I created here.

You can download the models in a GLB file format, which you can later import into Blender or another 3D package to further develop them or use them in your own projects.
Once the refinement process is completed, you will find your model in the "genie-refine" channel.
You can check my refined model here.

Also, you can try GENIE here.

Microsoft paper leaked ChatGPT 3.5-turbo parameters
On Monday, an article emerged revealing how a Microsoft paper inadvertently disclosed the number of parameters for OpenAI's GPT-3.5-turbo model.

According to the article, GPT-3.5-turbo now possesses 20 billion parameters, which is significantly less than anticipated and far fewer than the 175 billion parameters that GPT-3 had.
The article was actually an introduction to a small diffusion language model (with only 75 million parameters) that boasts excellent results in reported metrics for code generation when compared to ChatGPT. The paper, titled "CodeFusion: A Pre-trained Diffusion Model for Code Generation," was subsequently retracted by the authors.

Personalize Your Midjourney Imagery with the New Style Tuner
Midjourney introduces the Style Tuner, a novel tool for customizing the visual aesthetic of images, marking a significant advancement in user-directed AI art generation.

The prompt was “young attractive female, portrait --ar 4:5”
Key Points
The Style Tuner is accessed via the /tune command and allows users to fine-tune image aesthetics.
Users can select from various image pairs to determine their preferred style, which generates a unique code.
The code from the Style Tuner can be used with any prompt, influencing the style of generated images.
A feature called Sticky Style saves the last used --style parameter, making it easier to apply favorite styles to new prompts.
The Midjourney community can share and discover new styles through the style-tuner channel.
The Style Tuner can be combined with other parameters like --stylize for greater control over image output.
Significance
This innovation exemplifies the increasing customizability of AI-generated content, allowing for a more personalized and creative user experience in the field of digital art.
